De World Poker Tour Amsterdam wordt gehouden van 13 t/m 21 april in het Holland Casino Amsterdam. De data waren al bekend, maar nu is ook het complete speelschema door de organisatie naar buiten gebracht. Naast het €3.300 Main Event en de €1.500 WPT DeepStacks staan er veel toernooien op de planning voor zowel de grote (€6.000 High Roller) als de wat kleinere portemonnee (€330 Warm-up, €550 Single Re-entry). PokerCity is er uiteraard bij om verslag uit te brengen van de World Poker Tour Amsterdam.
Het WPTDeepStacks toernooi heeft een buy-in van €1.500 en loopt van 13 t/m 16 april. Vorig jaar was het Thijs Menco die zegevierde bij de allereerste WPTDeepStacks in Europa, wat hem €73.239 opleverde. Tobias Peters was finalist en legde de basis voor het winnen van de WPTDeepStacks Europe Ranking, die hij winnend wist af te sluiten wat hem een prijzenpakket van €20.000 opleverde voor WPT-toernooien.
Het WPT Amsterdam Main Event heeft een buy-in van €3.300 en wordt gehouden vanaf maandag 16 t/m vrijdag 20 april. De Kazach Daniel Daniyar greep de titel in 2017, goed voor €152.600. Andjelko Andrejevic (2016) en Farid Yachou (2015) wonnen de eerdere edities van de WPT Amsterdam.
Naast deze twee toernooien is er ook weer een €6.000 High Roller, die de afgelopen jaren Rob Hollink, Robert Soogea en Jason Wheeler als winnaars had. Verder zijn er ook veel kleinere side events. Het complete speelschema is nog niet bekend, maar volgt zo snel mogelijk als alle puntjes op de i zijn gezet.
