Highstakes pokeraar Matt Glantz noemt het een schande hoe Full Tilt Poker is omgegaan met de situatie na Black Friday. Tot voor kort verdedigde Glantz – al sinds jaar en dag ‘Friend of Full Tilt’ – het management en predikte hij geduld. Nu niet meer: “Through your tough times I have been one of your few defenders, bothpublicly and privately. I find it impossible to take that stance anylonger.”
In zijn nieuwste blog trok Glantz hard van leer tegen zijn vrienden van weleer. Hij schaamt zich diep voor de site. Waar veel pokeraars Full Tilt direct veroordeelden, was Glantz één van de weinigen die vertrouwen hield en het management bleef verdedigen. “Your continued public silence is a disgrace. It is not only irresponsible,but also thoughtlessly unfair to the thousands of poker players who have money tied up in yourongoing debacle.”
Glantz liet weten dat hij zelf geen geld vast heeft staan op bij de gevallen pokerroom. Hij benadrukte dat het terugbetalen van de spelers niet langer in de handen van Full Tilt ligt, maar neemt het de Full Tilt-top zeer kwalijk dat er niet open met de spelers is gecommuniceerd. Dankzij die spelers werd Full Tilt immers één van de grootste namen in de pokerindustrie.
“To my friends at FTP, I am embarrassed for you and I am ashamed of you –not due to the player funds being lost or held. I am embarrassed and ashamedbecause of the continued lack of communication to the thousands of players, whohave been waiting hopefully for this increasingly long amount of time. What I can’t understand is this continued disrespect to all the playerswho helped build your business to what it was just a year ago. The completelack of information coming from the owners of FTP to the player base isshameful.”
Matt Glantz won in zijn pokercarrière meer dan $4 miljoen in live toernooien en honderdduizenden dollars online. Zijn beste prestatie is het winnen van de EPT HighRoller in Londenin 2009, goed voor $866.537.
