Voor het eerst sinds het sluiten van Full Tilt Poker, heeftde grote baas van Full Tilt Poker in het openbaar gesproken. Ray Bitar biedtzijn excuses aan en beweert hard aan het werk te zijn om een oplossing tevinden voor Full Tilt Poker. “I would like to offer my sincere apology toall who have been affected by these events and to clarify that my silence wasnot an attempt to ‘hide,’ or ‘ignore,’ the situation.”
Full Tilt Poker sloot op 29 juni 2011 officieel haar deuren.Sindsdien was er complete radiostilte van Ray Bitar. De tijd was kennelijk rijpom naar buiten te treden, want Bitar stond PokerStrategy een interview toe. Indat interview werden we niet veel wijzer van de situatie op dit moment bij FullTilt Poker en de status van de mogelijke deal met de Groupe Bernard Tapie.
Bitar legde uit waarom hij niet eerder wat kon zeggen. Lopendeonderhandelingen met investeerders en wettelijke kwesties noopten hem de mondte houden. Hij beweerde hard te werken aan een oplossing: “My love for thesport and the poker community has made it very difficult to keep silent,particularly in light of the many angry sentiments directed at FTP, myself andothers, in newspapers and blogs. Given the lack of information that has beenmade public, I can certainly understand these sentiments”, zei Bitar.
Zijn focus ligt naar eigen zeggen vooral op het zorgen datde spelers worden terugbetaald en het bedrijf de crisis overleeft. “I havebeen fully dedicated to this cause and am doing everything possible for a beneficialoutcome.” Bitar zou dag en nacht aan het werk zijn voor Full Tilt Poker.

It was done out of necessity toensure the focus remained on the continued efforts to reach the best outcomefor the players. My entire focus is on obtaining a successful resolution forthe players.
